Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho on Chelsea's radar: £60 million bid expected this summer

Chelsea are interested in Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho.

While the Red Devils are not actively trying to sell Garnacho, United's management have agreed to listen to any offers for young players Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, since selling either player might assist improve their financial condition in terms of Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).

Chelsea are said to be monitoring Garnacho's situation and considering an approach, while Napoli are already widely reported to be interested in the Argentina international.

While some reports suggest Chelsea are preparing to make a bid for Garnacho in the final week of the January transfer window, the club has yet to decide whether to proceed.

It is estimated that the 20-year-old will cost roughly £60 million.

Chelsea are assessing their forward options, as winger Mykhailo Mudryk was temporarily suspended by the Football Association in December after failing a drug test. Mudryk denies knowingly using any illegal chemical and has promised to prove his innocence.

Meanwhile, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix's futures are uncertain, as both are searching for more playing time.

Garnacho started for United in Thursday's 2-1 Europa League victory over Rangers and posted on social media after the game: "Strong team performance. "Thank you, Old Trafford."

When asked if it was Garnacho's final match at Old Trafford as a United player, manager Ruben Amorim replied: "No, I'm concentrating on the games, and he's here, he's a Manchester United player.

"He was really important for us today and let's see in the next days."

When asked about Garnacho ahead of Chelsea's game against Manchester City on Saturday, Blues manager Enzo Maresca said: "I'm satisfied with the players we have [in that position] right now. "We're fine right now."
