Joao Felix Set for Al Nassr Medical After Chelsea Agree £26m Deal With Add-Ons and Sell-On Clause

‎Joao Felix is preparing to undergo a medical at Al Nassr following an agreement between Chelsea and the Saudi Pro League club on a £26 million (€30m/$35m) transfer fee. According to respected transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal features performance-based add-ons and a significant sell-on clause—components that were crucial to bridging the gap between Chelsea’s asking price and Al Nassr’s valuation.

‎Chelsea had initially placed a €50 million price tag on the Portuguese forward, whose time at Stamford Bridge never fully met the high expectations set during his meteoric rise at Benfica. The current agreement signals the conclusion of Felix’s stop-start journey in west London, where he made 40 appearances and scored 11 goals across two separate spells—one of which came on loan from Atlético Madrid in 2023.
‎Felix recently spent the latter half of the 2024–25 campaign on loan at AC Milan, as Chelsea sought opportunities for the 24-year-old to gain consistent playing time. The upcoming move to Saudi Arabia will offer the attacker a fresh chapter, alongside his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, in a league increasingly attracting European talent with high-profile names and lucrative deals.
‎The guaranteed €30 million transfer brings the cumulative total of disclosed spending on Felix to €209 million. Factoring in various loan fees across his career, that figure rises to €225.5 million—a reflection of the high hopes and consistent investment clubs have placed in a player once heralded as one of Europe’s brightest young stars.
