Aston Villa Target Chelsea Forward Christopher Nkunku in Late Transfer Window Move
Aston Villa have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea over a potential move for forward Christopher Nkunku as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his attacking options. The 27-year-old Frenchman has drawn interest from several clubs, including Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, as Villa aim to add quality in front of goal before the transfer window closes.

Villa have struggled for goals in the opening Premier League fixtures, remaining goalless in their first two games. Emery's side drew 0-0 with Newcastle United without a recognised striker and suffered a 1-0 defeat to relegation-threatened Brentford, highlighting the need for additional firepower. Maintaining the services of attacking talent like Morgan Rogers also remains important.
Nkunku is viewed as surplus to requirements at Chelsea, where he has experienced an inconsistent spell since moving from RB Leipzig. Fellow Blues striker Nicolas Jackson is also on Villa’s radar, alongside the possibility of bringing back former loan star Marco Asensio.
With Aston Villa preparing to face Crystal Palace at Villa Park, a late transfer could provide a much-needed boost to Emery’s attack. Nkunku’s potential departure from Stamford Bridge may offer the perfect opportunity for the Villans to add a proven Premier League-level forward to their squad.
