‎Ronaldo left Europe in November 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United and signing with Al-Nassr. His move ended more than two decades of playing at the highest level across Europe’s top leagues. Since joining the Saudi club, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has continued to produce remarkable numbers, setting new scoring records but still chasing a major trophy in the Middle East.
‎The 40-year-old forward recently committed his future to Al-Nassr by signing a new two-year contract in June 2025, a deal reported to be worth more than half a billion pounds over its duration. The agreement came after speculation surrounding his future at the end of the 2024-25 season.
‎Evra, speaking to Stake.com, praised Ronaldo’s longevity and work ethic, insisting the door remains open for another European chapter. He said: “Cristiano is a machine. [Saudi Arabia] is just a new chapter, not the end. Never say never about Europe.”
‎Ronaldo will next feature in the Saudi Super Cup final on August 23, where Al-Nassr will face the winner of the Al-Qadisiyah vs Al-Ahli clash.
