Tecno Just Unveiled a Budget Phone With a Battery Built to Last for 6 Years
The upcoming Tecno Spark 50 Pro has been officially announced, with availability expected in June 2026. The smartphone brings a combination of durability features, modern connectivity options and fast charging support.

Expected Availability
Announced on June 15, 2026, the Tecno Spark 50 Pro is currently marked as coming soon, with its release anticipated later in June 2026.
Display and User Experience
A 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel dominates the front of the device. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and features a 720 x 1600-pixel resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio is approximately 83.5%.

Hardware and Performance
Under the hood, the Spark 50 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, manufactured on a 6nm process.
Its octa-core processor consists of:
• 2 Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2GHz
• 6 Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz
Graphics processing is handled by the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
RAM and Storage Configuration
Tecno offers the Spark 50 Pro with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Users can further expand storage through the dedicated microSDXC card slot. The phone also features UFS storage technology.
Cameras
The rear setup includes a single 50MP wide camera with an f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). An LED flash is also included, while video recording support is available.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features an 8MP front-facing wide camera with video recording capabilities.
Build Quality and Durability
The device measures 167.8 x 79.2 x 7.8 mm and uses a glass front, plastic frame and plastic back construction.
Durability is a major highlight, with IP68/IP69 certification for dust and water resistance. The phone is protected against high-pressure water jets and can remain immersed in water up to 6 meters for 30 minutes. It is also drop resistant from heights of up to 1.5 meters.

The Spark 50 Pro is listed with either a 6000mAh or 5600mAh battery. It supports 60W wired charging, reaching 63% charge in 30 minutes and a full charge in 55 minutes. Bypass charging functionality is also available.
Colors
Tecno will offer the Spark 50 Pro in Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Midnight Blue, Dynamic Orange and Cloud White finishes. The model number is KO5.
